Cappuccino in dining room

Recommended Posts

I do not know of any of the cruises that I have been on that will bring a cappacino to you in the dining room, cost or no cost. You can go get it and bring it in with you. I have done that on other things that I wanted in the dining room and either could not get or could not get fast enough for me.

Like drinks. I usually stop at one of the bars just before going in to the dining room and get the drink I want and take in with me. That way, I do not have to wait for the bar person to come around and take our order and then wait for him to come back with it. That can be a while. I like scotch on the rocks and by the time they get back it is just scotch and water, no rocks.

Just my personal preference. You can do that with beer also.

Unfortunately its not free, but you can get it. I just always ordered it from the assistant waiter when they come around asking if anyone would like coffee with dessert. Have never had to wait for bar staff and once I order, its always delivered within a few minutes.

...on the NCL Spirit last year, at no extra charge. Good thing too, 'cause the regular coffee was...how should I say...G-D AWFUL !!! Everything else was quite good, but that java....Oh boy!

Tha cap wasn't great either, but at least you could drink it.

How's the regular coffee on RCL? We'll be on the AOS in July.

I,too love a cappucino after dinner when cruising. If I remember correctly NCL offers these with no charge and maybe Celebrity, as well. Although I think it's strange for NCL to offer anything with no charge, they seem to like to nickle and dime you to death. IMHO

  • 4 months later...

We were just on the Mariner a couple of weeks ago and the cappucino was including automatic tip for two was $6.33. Every night we had one. Our first Carnival cruise on the Pride, it was free but not our last one three years ago on the Glory.

Holland America serve free capuccino in the dining room. I had it every night of our 21 day cruise last year and it was delicious. I don't think I'll be paying for it on RCI - I think it's just mean to charge extra. I'll stick with ordinary coffee or go without!

They asked if we wanted anything for after dinner on Liberty of the Seas. We said two cappuccinos and they said that they were going to charge us. Decided we didn't want them but yes, they were going to charge us.

We don't really need it because we had the concierge lounge. It is free to make all the drinks you want in the morning. Just baffled us that they charge for a cappuccino in the dining room. Didn't matter because we got them for free in the concierge lounge. :)

That's odd...

We just were on the Glory at the beginning of August...I had one every night after dinner in the dining room at no charge. I guess they are offering it again! :)
