Copenhagen Hotels

We're arriving in Copenhagen a day before our August Princess cruise and have an extra day afterwards. Any recommendations on convenient hotels in Copenhagen? How far is the city from the cruise dock and the airport? Many thanks!

Copenhagen is a very convenient city to get around. The airport is only about a 15 minute drive from the city and the dock is not that far away. We were docked both times when on HAL, quite close to the litte mermaid and within walking distance of our hotels.

 

Last time we stayed at Hotel Phoenix which is close to Nyhaven and the Palace. Every day around 12 noon there is changing of the guard. We loved it there though it is a good 10-15 minute walk to the Tivoli Gardens and the Station up the Stroget which is the main thoroughfare of Copenhagen and where the shops are situated. Hotel Phoenix was also close to the Castle.

 

Copenhagen is very easy to walk around and it very flat and there is also a Hop on, hop off bus.

Radisson SAS has 2 hotels that are pretty nice...one right across from the Tivoli Gardens,and the other is about a 15 minute walk from the city center,but doable.Great city,and fun to explore. Enjoy..
