copperski Posted April 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2007 It depends on where in Stockholm the ship docks. There are several berthing places in Stockholm where they can dock. Some are right in the city, some a 10-20 minute walk into the old city and some are a little further away. If you know what ship you will be on you can see where she docks by going to http://www.stockholmcruise.com
eldercruser Posted April 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2007 Unless you are a brisk walker even the closest docking position is somewhat of a hike. Last time we were there shuttle bus service was available for a small fee. Most of the people that walked wished they had taken the bus. Depending on how many ships are in port and the size of your cruiseship you be be docked at a pier where walking is totally unfeasible. Check the Northern Europe and Baltics board for more in-depth discussions re Stockholm.
