Renting a Jeep

We will be on the Sensation - We want to rent a jeep to get around for the day. I believe the port we will be in is Punta Maya??? Where is the best place to rent a jeep? Avis?

Whatever you do-DO NOT rent from Less Pay rentals. They are right off the puenta maya pier. We rented a jeep last year and when we received it, it was on half a tank and they said to bring it back like that. When my DH returned it, the guy said he believed it was a little over and he would have to pay him $10 dollars. Unfortunately DH did not have that much cash on him and had to pay by CC, which had an 8% surcharge on it. So, our $44 less pay rental ended up costing about $70 and a good lesson learned!

Yikes- Thats a good point!

 

Both executive and avis do Jeep rentals online, and have facilities at that pier.

 

Also check with the rest: Hertz, National, etc. Most of the big car rental companies are represented in Cozumel, but not at every pier.
