Barcelona..Hop on Hop off Bus questions

Wondering if anyone has done this tour? Seems reasonable & easy.

We are looking to spend the majority of the day just roaming, but would also like an overall look at Barcelona. thinking about combining the 2.

Would love to hear your experience. Also, I've noticed tickets can be purchased on-line and I've also noticed different rates. Is there 1 service or numerous companies? Thanks.

We used the Barcelona Bus Turistic http://WWW.tmb.net and found it a great way to get around the City and simply purchased tickets as we boarded the Bus.There is a one day ticket and a two day ticket which costs only slightly more

Thanks Mike...can you tell me....If we take the bus and get off at a point of interest, do we need to continue on the same direction till it finishes it's loop? Looks like they go in 1 direction. Do you remember how long it took to do a complete loop?

A loop is a loop is a loop...never comes back on its route... just goes round and round...as described on their website

2 hours each for the northern and southern routes... as mentioned on their website
