Bank Of America Post Card...

CRUZIN TOM

Recommended Posts

We received in the mail yesterday Post cards from NCL with the Bank of America logo, stating that we have enough points for discounts on up coming cruises. From 100 to 500 point levels. We have been using the now BOA past MBNA credit card for over 3 years, with the $500.00 off coupons. What bothers me now, is that the 500 point level does not indicate that it is a $500.00 coupon off of your cruise price. Let's hope they don't change out their policy on the credit cards....:)

I think it's just a verbage thing. For the 500 point redemption level, it states "discount certificate amount plus 1 category upgrade per stateroom". I think the discount certificate is the same thing that we've been redeeming for a couple of years now.

Hey there....I was just wondering if the Casino at Sea card had to still have points/money on it to get the discount when booking through the casino number? I applied all my points towards our cruise onbaord credit tab.

I have gotten a few post cards throughout the year for specials (onboard credit)but was wondering how it worked for you without being too nosey : )

Thanks!

On the top of my post card (the side your name and address are typed), it says....

"What are you waiting for! You have the 500 points needed to redeem a $500 NCL cruise discount certificate!"

They are also giving upgrades along with your redemption within the same category. Mini suites and suites are excluded.

No, as long as you have your card, the discount has nothing to do with dollars gained while on the ship. this is a service offered at the main office. The ship personel on board know nothing about the discounts. I missed out on the Peral this last Feb, because I had booked already. I am waiting for the reposition cruises to open up and get pricing for 08 from the Casinos at sea. Also they do take the old/new MBNA now Bank of America certificates.:)

In fact before I got the post card I had already called the Casino's at Sea desk and they gave me all the information to send in my certificates. We will have 3 - $500.00 for the Alaska cruise. be sure and make a copy of them. I snet mine last year with a signature required card, so I knew that they received them. It is very difficult to get them renewed if lost in the mail.:)

I got this postcard also. I'd be curious to know if the different upgrade options can be combined. For example, can I pay for an inside cabin and use 200 points to bump up to an ocean view, then another 300 points to bump to a balcony? The postcard doesn't say I can't. So far I've called NCL twice and not yet talked to someone who's even familiar with this promotion.

If you applied for your 200 points now and they send you the discount coupon, then yes, then call then in a few days and request the other coupon. They will need to be for 2 different reservations though. They will not combine them. We have 2 different cards in 2 different names though we both can use the cards, the certificates in the past went to each of the reservations for that passenger. I can't tell you if it has changed now.:)

I did followup on our Post cards and they are different, one is purple and just gives the info for an upgrade and the other is orange and asks what you want to do with $500 cruise certificate. One of the accounts was just short of the 500 points beefore the billing cycle. :)
