Need Advice For Renting a Scooter in Roatan!

Hey, all. Newbie to posting on Cruise Critic, but addicted to cruises. Been on four cruises since last April. Leaving this Sunday, 4/15/07 on Carnival Valor for another. Yay! So, close but, seems so far. I can tast the Miami Vice frozen drink right now. :)

Just thinking of renting a scooter in Roatan for the two of us from Captain Van on Wednesday, April 18th.

I was just wondering how is it there (i.e. people, roads, drivers, safety, etc)

Overall, we want to see the island, go zip lining, and just relax and enjoy the day!

Has anyone out there done this and what did you think?

Any advice would be helpful and much appreciated.
