mielyse Posted April 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2007 My wife and I will be sailing aboard the WindSpirit in December. We have not been on WindStar and would appreciate ant comments. We are also SCUBA divers and want to know if it is better to use their excursion if available or to book it on our own outside of the ship. lovecruisingtoo Posted April 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2007 The nice part about booking the scuba with Windstar is that they leave from right off the back of the ship. Very convenient. We were on the Spirit a couple of months ago and the dive couple were fantastic.
mielyse Posted April 13, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted April 13, 2007 Thanks, it doesn't seem as thought they offer it in every port. I was surprised to see the extremely limited number of excursions they offer.
MGC Posted April 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Thanks, it doesn't seem as thought they offer it in every port. I was surprised to see the extremely limited number of excursions they offer. Well, for one thing, there's really not a lot to do in some of these ports -- this is a cruise itinerary well-suited to simply being a beach bum. It also seems to me that a lot of the passengers on these ships tend to do their own thing. If you do a search on this board, there were a lot of posts this last winter about this itinerary.
