New London CT to cruise port NYC transportation

We will be going on a Carnival cruise, the Miracle this fall. I need some suggestions on modes of transportation to the port. Are there any bus companies that may pick up in New London? I am not sure which port you leave from. Any help greatly appreciated.

It leaves from the Manhattan terminal. Take Amtrak to Penn Station and then a cab. Faster than a bus by far.

Smeyer is right. Amtrak does stop in New London & goes directly to Penn Station. From there its like a 10 minute (or less) cab ride. Or you could grab the phone book & check the yellow pages for car services that could drive you directly to the pier.

 

Better than a bus because you know how bad I-95 is on a good day! I'm in Westport, just up the coastline from you.

You can also drive and park at the pier, which is the easiest and most convenient way.
