Pisa from Portofino?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I have to admit, I've been somewhat underwhelmed when looking for things to do in Portofino, and after studying the map for a while, I'm thinking it might be possible to do a swing into Pisa in the time we have available. Doesn't look like train info is really available for July yet, but from looking at closer days, it looks like there's about 3 or more trains every hour to Pisa from Santa Margherita Ligure and it looks like it takes about 2 hours to get to Pisa.

So, I'm kinda thinking bus from Portofino to Sante Margherita Ligure, then train to Pisa. Reverse the process to get back. We have 10 hours in port, so it strikes me that there should be plenty of time to do this.

Am I crazy? Anyone ever done this and have any advice?
