smeyer418 Posted May 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2004 A fire that broke out on board Cunard’s 70,327gt cruise liner Queen Elizabeth 2 today has been extinguished. The ship is in drydock at Lloyd Werft, where it is undergoing a refit. 28 fire fighters from Bremerhaven were quickly on the scene. Reports this afternoon said refit work is not expected to be delayed beyond its scheduled completion on Thursday and the ship will be ready for its Northern Delights cruise from Southampton to Oslo, Copenhagen and Amsterdam, departing from the UK on 22 May.
