What time to book flight after cruise in NYC?

Will be taking the NCL Spirit round trip Manhattan Port. The ship docks at 8:00 a.m. What would be the earliest we should book a return flight from LGA. There is a flight at 1:50 p.m. that is convenient for getting back to CA. Would that time be OK from anyone's experience?

1:50 should be fine. In my experience most people are off by around 11 except the real stragglers. Even with traffic its only 45 minutes or so to LGA.....
