Is getting a cab easy?

Cant Wait 4 Cruisin!

Recommended Posts

We were wondering about getting a cab to seven mile beach.... are there vans available, we have 6 people in our group. I haven't been able to find an excursion that will go to seven mile beach and then lunch somewhere.. .so figured the 6 of us would hop into a van and go to the beach and then hopefully catch one at seven mile beach. I have read that there are cabs, but what about a van for 6 people. Anyone?

Is there someone specific to ask to be dropped off at seven mile beach?

You should be able to get a cab/van right at the pier -- they line up. There are tours you can grab right there too. 7 Mile beach isn't very far from the pier - far enough to ride though. It should be fairly cheap. At the prier there are all sorts of places to grab lunch (sort of pricey).

We (2 couples) were in Grand Cayman last year after Thanksgiving and since we had been there before we did not want a full island tour. We wanted to go to the Rum Cake factory and Hell. We could not find a cab on the water front that was willing to take us. They wanted us to take a full island tour for $40.00pp in a small bus stuffed with people. So we went about a block off the water front and found a taxi stand with several cabs lined up. We took the first one in line and ended up going all over the island. I can't remember the sweet lady's name but she was wonderful! Very friendly and informative. We got a short history of the island and a run down of current events. She waited for us at the Rum Cake Factory and Hell. She made sure that we were back to the pier in time for the tender. We are going back to Grand Cayman on the Conquest the week after Thanksgiving this year and will definitely look for her if we need a cable.
