Anyone Been On Mariner Recently??

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I am leaving this Friday for 4 weeks on the Mariner. I haven't been onboard in almost 3 years and wanted to hear from anyone who has been on the ship recently, or who is onboard now. Just wondering how the condition of the ship is, the staff, the cruise director, etc. I'm looking forward to a great month at sea.

Michael:

We were on the Mariner 3 weeks ago and everything was terrific - the ship had just finished a 7 day dry dock for refurbishing. Here's a link to some photos I took of the new interior look:

Here the "Who's-Whos" of crew members on board during that sailing:

Captain Philippe Fichet Delevault

Staff Captain Stan Mercier De Lacombe

Chief Engineer Germain Souvet

Security Offier Harry Harrison

Ship’s Doctor Dr. Jean-Claude Richard

Hotel Director Marcel Gademan

F&B Manager Dominique Nicolle

Financial Officer Sabine Geyer

Executive Chef Mike Romhild

Dining Room Manager Garry Roberts

Housekeeper Sunny Kekic

Guest Relations Manager Bernice Scheepers

Travel Concierge Manager Christine Andrusyshyn

Cruise Director Bryan Townsend

Assistant Cruise Director Dionne Lochner

Social Hostess Nova Hughes

Computer Instructor Theresa Luff

Youth Coordinator Crystal Deschamps

Cruise Consultant Brian O’Brian

Art Director Handre

Of course those positions change frequently so you may not find them there when you board.

Have a wonderful voyage - wish I was going back for 4 week!

We too were on the March 30 sailing after dry dock. Love all the new furnishings. Had to use the ship's m.d. for the first time ever and were very impressed. Our 15 year old son awoke one morning with pin eye. Dr. Richard was very charming, funny and professional - he can clearly speak as comfortably with the 80 year olds as he can with the teens. Otherwise we found all the restaurants as wonderful as ever. Have a wonderful time.
