nurse42 Posted April 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Cruising out of New York on the Crown in August, and doing some sight seeing the day before. We are looking for a hotel. Has anyone stayed at the new Holiday Inn Express in Brooklyn near the Red Hook Terminal? Any suggestions would be of great help.
momof3koritsias Posted April 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Last summer we stayed at the Embassy Suites in lower Manhattan. It's right across the street from the World Trade Center site. We opted to take a harbor cruise from Battery Park. There is a free shuttle that is run by the Downtown Alliance. It has a stop right by the hotel and will take you to Battery Park. The port in Red Hook is only 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel. Plus Embassy includes breakfast!
willysgrandma Posted April 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2007 If you want to stay in Brooklyn near the cruise terminal look at the Mariott - it's in a better area.
