We have website info about two luaus that we are considering - need your advice!

From the hawaiiactivities.com website about Royal Lahaina Luau - says you can go at 6:45 daily for the show only with open bar for $37 for adults - has anyone done this with show only and no food? Is this a good luau?

From the hawaiidiscountactivities.com website about the Ka'anapali Beach Luau - price is only $49.95 including food - anyone been to this one?

For either one, did anyone ever need to cancel and get their credit card charge canceled?

They are one and the same luau!!! The Kaanapali Luau is at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali. We went to the whole thing early last June and had an absolutely fabulous evening!! It was everything that you could ever want in a luau and we really enjoyed the buffet (especially the Imu pig cooked all day in an underground oven!!). We got seats right next to the stage so I believe that really enhanced our evening and it was an absolutely gorgeous clear night with a FULL moon! The fire knife dancing for the finale was really wonderful and the whole evening experience is something we will NEVER forget! It really was one of the highlights of our hawaiian cruise!

We used the website you showed for the Kaanapali Luau and everything was wonderful! Just be sure you print out your email tickets and take them with you. (The drinks were very potent too!) We got there very early and were just about the first people in line (we took turns as the beach there is gorgeous!) Not sure if I would have liked having to sit in the back of the room far from the stage which is surely where the folks there for the show only have to sit.. The tables are awful tight and the seats close together. Where I sat there was lots of room because there was nothing but an aisle between me and the stage. I did a full review on here somewhere, plus on Tripadvisor.com. So glad we chose this luau experience!!!
