brian_uk Posted May 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2007 We have been on O twice in Venice and the simple answer is a resounding NO A shame but it has not put us off returning to start again on Nautica in Venice this summer Brian
digby Posted May 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2007 There certainly was a shuttle in October when we sailed on the Regatta. We used it both days we were in port.
RJB Posted May 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2007 When we were there a few years ago O had a shuttle, but it did not run too often. Very crowded and everyone could not get on. It was a very poor service.
brian_uk Posted May 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2007 Digby....RJB Are you talking about the bus that ran from the ship to the top ofthe Pier or a bus that went to the Train Station. When we were last there, Princess had a boat that ran from the docks to St Marks Square. We had to take one of the rare vaporettos that came to the docks. RJB Posted May 3, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2007 I am talking about the bus that ran to the vaparato station. From there you can go anywere in Venice. Very hard getting on the return bus to the ship. O did not seem to care very much about that when we spoke to them later. Their tour people are about the worst we have seen on any ship. digby Posted May 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 3, 2007 The shuttles I'm talking about went from where the ship docked to the P. Roma. They ran fairly often and we never had a problem getting on one in either direction. The walk to P. Roma is really not a very long one either if you are up to it.
