sailingmickey Posted May 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2007 We are thinking about taking a cruise to Italy and Croatia in 2008. Anyone have any suggestion as to what would be the best time of the year to visit Italy? Currently thinking about April or early June. Thank you. NAS-KARR Posted May 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Been there during same time period...GREAT TIME......school is not out yet,the crowds are quite light and the late spring is most comfortable. GO FOR IT ! CIAO,
Rare cruisemom42 Posted May 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2007 Both dates you propose would be good. I'd choose April over early June because the further you are from the main tourist months, the less crowded it will be. April weather should be great; June will definitely be warm, if not downright hot.
Valentine's Mom Posted May 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2007 What about late October early November? Will the tempetures be cool or cold?
GSPLover Posted May 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2007 Having lived in Italy for three years, I'd opt for May or early June (probabky leaning towards the later part.) Cool to warm, but not hot. Crowds are less. Prices tend to be a little less (though probably not significantly.) Great time of the year to be over there.
