Venice Card/Roma Pass

Do the Venice Card and the Roma Pass count as admission tickets into museums, arachaeoligal sites, churches, etc. In other words do you still have to stand in line to get the ticket with your pass or does the pass count as the ticket and you bypass the ticket lines? Are either worth the purchase?
