Which Carnival itenerary is the most laid back and uncongested in port ???

Recommended Posts

Since cruising is so popular it is hard to find a cruise where you do not meet up with a crowd. You can avoid some of this by checking to see how many other cruise ships are scheduled in each port at the same time you will be there. I would say an Alaska cruise at the beginning of the season tends to be less crowded and fairly relaxed.

the only itinerary that comes to mind w/ your question is grand turk, HMC and nassau. everything is so close, no hustle and bustle to rush around. just chillin' on the beach. not much sight seeing to be had in either Grand Turk or HMC. you'll have to pull that out of nassau if you want. else there's still plenty to do right w/in walking distance of the ship there too.

That itinerary is going away. The Elation sails it and the ship is moving to San Deigo this month. So far CCL has not said anything about replacing the Elation at Port Canaveral. This is really a very relaxing itinerary as we just came back this week and really enjoyed it.

i know elation is re-positioning, but i cannot, for my, life imagine that itinerary just going away. they've sunk gazillions into building the pier in grand turk, and of course HMC is a private island of theirs (their subsidiary HAL some wld say), but to me it's all the same family. i think they will definitely continue to do this itinerary. in fact, isn't S&S's going there on the B2B?

just did a quick check, so there cld be other ships that will do it, but imagination is taking it over, from miami, in the fall, and until then triumph is incorporating grand turk and HMC into some of its eastern caribbean sailings. but, again from miami, not port canaveral.

Totally agree! Half moon cay & Grand Turk are the best!!! I've been to several cruises and nothing compares to these 2 ports.... so enjoyable! it's like being in paradise! no rush, nobody trying to sell you stuff, no need to take taxis, just you in a desert island, and the most beautiful beach I've seen, especially Half moon! it's a side of paradise.
