Suggestions for January 50th Birthday!

So - my DH turns 50 in January of next year. I thought about doing a big party - which would be fun and all - but I'd rather spend the $$$ on a special trip for him.

 

Any suggestions? We have been all over the Caribbean and Mexico - but maybe something more exotic. What's a good choice for around the 2nd week in January?

We are doing the 15 day Regal to Hawaii for my DH's 50th. Can't wait!!!

My suggestion...get him a calendar. There is no 50th in January. It ends at 31. ;)

Yes, Hawaii or the South Pacific or even Australia would be wonderful in January!

That's what I said, and that's what DH and I did. We stayed at the very romantic Wilderness Lodge that was fairly new then and celebrated my 50th at Artist Point restaurant there. We spent some time at each of the parks, DH played golf while I went to the spa at the Grand Floridian, we wined and dined at some fabulous restaurants. It was truly a very memorable birthday week.

 

Since then, most of my January birthdays have been spent on a Princess ship as that is the time of year that we cruise. The itinerary wouldn't matter much to me as long as I was on the ship :) .
