Dinner Resrvations/Waitlist

I received my documents today for our June 30 cruise. I reserved 2 rooms, one for DH and I and one for a friend. Both sets of documents came to me. My documents state "Dinner confirmed main" - no time listed. My friend's state "Dinner Waitlisted Early Requested." I made and paid for for reservations at the same time and requested early dining, yet it appears that my friend was waitlisted and we were not - although I don't see which time I am "confirmed" for. It would seem that if two reservations are linked and paid by one person, they would assure that they receive the same dinner assignment and are seated together. What does this mean, and how should I handle it ? Call TA or call HAL direct?

Call your TA and find out what is going on. Main is the late dining time. What ship will you be on??

 

You need to try and straighten this problem out before you get on the ship.

They are really pushing for people to take the anytime dining instead of the traditional times. So be prepared when you call them.

Thanks for info and advice. We are on Oosterdam June 30. I don't care very much which time we eat (as long as our party is at same table), but requested early since biological clocks will be on central time.

We booked our cruise in January. We received our cruise docs about a week ago and they say that we are waitlisted also for early seating.

call the TA the agents at HAL cant disclose details of your booking directly to you.
