coffeebean Posted May 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2007 My DH and I are on the May 14th sailing of the Carnival Spirit, Alaska itinerary. I can see by the deck plans there is a sliding sky dome above the main pool deck. Those of you who have done the Alaska itinerary in May... If the weather is cool, which I'm sure it will be, is the sky dome kept closed during the sailiing to keep the pool deck climate controlled??? Thanking you in advance for your responses. sea_u_onboard Posted May 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2007 You might want to try and post your question in the ALL THINGS CARNIVAL SPIRIT thread on the Alaska Board - there is a shortcut to it in my signature.
lindalo5032 Posted May 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2007 We have been on the Spirit the last two summers, in late July and early August. I don't recall the dome ever being opened up during that time. Last year in early August it was downright C-O-L-D !! Nobody was swimming even with the dome closed :) On our last sea day, the ocean was a little rough and I took some video of the water in the pool with waves rolling from side to side--pretty cool :)
