Ketchikan Questions: Dock and Eagles

According to one of the port sites, the Amsterdam will be at Dock 2 in Ketchikan on 30 May. However, on the page that lists what the port abreviations are, 1, 2 and 3 are lined out. Is there on-going construction at these docks and are they useable now?

We have a short port stop, from 7AM - 2PM. We've also been in Ketchikan before and will be doing our own thing this time. Is there anyplace within comfortable walking distance from the dock area where one might expect to see eagles in late May? If so, about how far away would it be?

You don't even have to leave the ship to eagles in Ketchikan :) They were flying to and from the trees as we pulled into the dock last year. Just have your binoculars out and ready because they will be waiting to greet you. They look like ping pong balls in the tree tops to the naked eye but with binoculars you will be able to get a great view of them.

Enjoy your trip!
