bgg Posted May 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Could someone tell me how to get from the port to Monaco by bus or train? We'd like to not book anything from the ship for that day and kind of just wander around by ourselves. Time-wise, would this be possible without having to rush back to make sailing time? Thanks. taxmantoo Posted May 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2007 No problem at all... lots of time if you are there for the day. Check out this web site http://www.europeportreviews.com/MonteCarlo3.htm If you do a search on Monaco and Villefranche in this thread, you will also find a way to get there and back by bus. Just as easy as described above. Good luck.
Fuzzy55 Posted May 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2007 The following link will tell you everything you need to know about taking the train from the port. It is a long review, but is the most helpful link I've seen. It gives you step by step how to do each port on your own. http://www.cruisereviews.com/Celebrity/Millennium53.htm
Debbierpof Posted May 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2007 We used the train from Villefranche to Monaco and back. Not a problem; but do read reviews as recommended so you can save time there by using shortcuts/helpful hints posted on the boards. Make sure you save some time to explore Villefranche (it doesn't take much time) -- it is a very quaint and nice little town.
