Price of cigarettes in London

Recommended Posts

£40 - £50 per 200

From the 1st July 2007 England joins Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in bannng smoking from ALL enclosed public spaces excluding Her Majesty's Prisons.

Public spaces include a company car, van or truck.

Private homes are exempt as are hotel rooms (where the owner permits smoking in some or all of his letting bedrooms).

Smoking will be pemitted in most public open spaces. Where a pub or other establishment has a "smoking shelter" the enclosed portion "wall" must not exceed 50% of the total area of the "walls"

There are 2 more exceptions that may impact on a visitor to the UK.

Actors on a film,TV or theatre stage can smoke if it is an integral part of the performance, but NOT the audience.

A tobacco-only specialist may allow customers to sample pipe tobacco or cigars.

You can also buy them on board the ship. You'll probably find them cheaper than at home, unless like me you live close to an Indian reservation. ;)

that's what i usually do. i recently learned princess treats them the same as liquor - you don't get them until the last night.
