Has anyone taken in a performance of the New Archangel Dancer in Sitka? Is it worth going to?

They are worth your time. Performances are in Centennial Hall and are offered several times throughout the day. No reservations are required.

The New Archangel Dancers mission is to promote and encourage interest in Alaska's Russian History and culture through sharing of ethnic folk dance and song.

Yes, it was worth it! Our kids (12 & 16 at the time) enjoyed it more than I thought they would. It was a very different activity than anything else we did on the cruise, plus it was rainy in Sitka that day, so it was a nice change of pace. There's a little museum/shop there that's worth a few minutes of poking around if you're waiting for your performance time.
