Any suggestions on Wrangell?

We will be on the Sun on June 6. Anyone have suggestions for what do to in Wrangell? The shore excursions don't look particularly interesting. Is it easy to get off the ship and just look around by yourself?

Going to be in Wrangell also on the Sun in May and will probably do the following : Hike to Rainbow falls(I think its a 2 mile rountrip easy hike)which requires a cab ride from the dock as it is about 5 miles away, Shakes Island (Totem Poles), then the Stikine River Jet Tour through the ship(its expensive $199 but seems like alot of fun.
