How far ahead would you plan? Like for example, if you go to a certain state, and you plan to fly to a diff one later on would you make flight arrangements for the entire trip before you even leave home. Or would you arrange the flight to the next state once you're in the first state?

Not quite sure I understand your question, but I think I would make all the arrangments before I left home. But that's me.....I like all my ducks in a row.

I would definitely make all arrangements prior to leaving home. You can very often make changes along the way but if you wait till you're "on the road" you risk:

1. spending a great deal of your time making future arrangements

2. not being able to find accomodations you want at best rate

3. paying absolute top fare for air flight to next city.

I plan my trip at least a year before!! To make sure I have everything in order.
