Miami airport to Ft.Lauderdale cruiseport?

HI, Really need your help. Due to airline schedules we can get better

flights by flying into the Miami airport instead of Ft.Lauderdale. We would

be flying in the night before. My question is getting to the cruise terminal

in Ft.Lauderdale. What are my options? Do we go back to the Miami

airport, buy cruiselines transfers, or take a cab to the cruise terminal, and

how $$ is that? I know we can buy transfers from the cruise to Miami.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

:) Go directly to the Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale and then use their shuttle to the ship the next day....:cool:

We had pretty much the same predicament last year. Only we flew into FLL and our cruise left from Miami. We hired a car from Larry's Limo (which was recommended on here) to drive us both ways.

We did the reverse a couple of years ago, took the taxi from FLL pier to Miami airport - cost was about $75 with tip. In hindsight, we should have just taken the bus transfer offered by the cruise line for $50 for the two of us. Live & Learn!
