Anyone joining us? My boyfriend and I are sailing on my first, his second cruise in December. I'm excited since I've never been on one before and would love to hear if there are any others going on this cruise. Any groups? Any Special Occasions? Just curious!

Is the bow of the ship accessible on the Carnival Liberty? My last couple of cruises have been on RCI's Explorer class ships. I really enjoy going out to the helicopter pad (at the very front of the ship) at night because it's so dark there and the view of the stars is amazing - much better than on land with all the light pollution.

Is this possible on the Liberty? If not, are there any areas on the ship that would be darker and best for stargazing?

Also, is it possible to walk a full loop around deck 3 - even if you have to go up and down stairs?

Thanks in advance!!!

you can get to the front of the ship on decks 6, 7, and 10 deck 8 has the bridge and not accessible I am not usre about 9.

You walk all the way forward and there will be a door to the side to get you out there.

its almost private as not too many people know to go out there. People do have oceanview cabins there. It is not as big as the helicopter place on the voyager class ship.

deck 3 does not go all the way around.

stargazing?? the ship has lights- you best bet is empress deck (under the bridge)

I have heard/read that the Liberty will be in drydock in Spring of '08 for refurbishment. Have any of you heard exactly what will be done regarding additions/refreshing/improvements/etc? Just curious to know what to expect next summer.

Make sure to request bar waiter- Savio. I hear he is on the Liberty. He was my bar waiter on 3 previous cruises. He is very very attentive and makes the best drinks!

I promise, you will be happy!!

What's going on with our postings?? We seem to have lost a lot this week. I may be crazy but nothing much is still out there since Thursday (except a couple posts from Dell08. I remember posting yesterday and many of the rest of you did too.

We are doing our lists today so the packing can start soon. We don't have enough space (like a spare room) to get the suitcases out too early. I've got the bottles of Captain Morgan ready, so keeping our Smugglers party at the top of the list!

Sorry, I thought I was replying to the thread about the Aug. 26 cruise. We are leaving home at 3:30 pm next Friday, 8/24, heading for Ft. Lauderdale. It is so exciting that the time is finally here. We are hoping and praying that Dean does not cause us any problems and that no other hurricanes "pop up" between now and then.

We'll watch for Savio. He sounds like a good one. Can't wait for some of those yummy frozen drinks! Dell, when was your last cruise and which ship?

just back from the liberty 8 day western carribean ( costa maya, costa rica and panama....

great ship, food was good, bartendering was great and Igusta as bartender and rey as waiter..... shows were okay same stuff....alot of sales in the gift shops, Bogdan is casino host and the very funny todd witter is the cruise director

new disembarkment process in affect..... no more color tags being called ..... tags are now number 1-34 and the call by zones instead of colors.... 1-4 zones are set a side for those who are platinum vip, early flights, those who need help and those who book a shore excursion on the last day of the cruise.....

email me at y7anks3@aol.com or post questions here i will try to answer ur questions

You'll be sorry you offered to answer questions as I have many:D . I'm sailing on the March 15th cruise to Panama, etc.

1. What did you do for excursions & did you enjoy?

2. Did you bring back any menus & capers that you can share?

3. Positives & negatives about the cruise?

4. Dining experiences?

5. Tips on how to get the most from the cruise.

6. Did you arrive day before sailing &, if so, where did you stay & would you recommend it?

7. Will you be writing a review?

Thanks for offering to answer questions. I'm looking forward to your responses!

Thanks!! Just looking forward to getting away. Going to stop in Jupiter and check out the lighthouse on the way to FLL. It's a nice way to start our anniversary.

It sounds wonderful! Have a great trip, cruise and anniversary:)
