Carnival Liberty Thread - All The Info You Need Is In Here

It appears that by booking the Balc Guar. you already were upgraded one level. Balc Guar. start on Deck 6.

Oh! I wasn't hoping for a change, I think I'm happy with it! I just wanted to know if I could count on this being my room? Or is there a chance that Carnival could change it? :)

it could change up til sailing. DO not give your baggage to the porter until they confirm your assignment. Each porter has a manifest with the names and cabin numbers.

99.99% chance that is your cabin and it will remain the same.

serene56: thanks so much for that information. I was hoping you could help me out with a few things:

I was told that because I chose my room I will not be upgraded is that true? I really do like my room location.

And what time does the muster drill start on the LIberty?

you can be upgraded- rare but it does happen. Make sure your agent marks your reservation- no upgrades please.

On our roll call someone has the cat 9A wrap around and was upgraded to a suite.

On the liberty it will depend on what time the ship leaves.

You are leaving from Miami at 5pm-- the drill will be 4:30

What is a 45 day letter? Why do we get this?

I have never got a 45 day letter.

Carnival gives these out to people who write letters telling them about their cruise. I have 8 of those written and not one reply. Not everyone gets a letter.

But by reading these boards it sure does seem like it dont it?

but members here represent less then 1% of the sailing public.

I just read through this whole thread LOL Some great tips, thanks! I'll be on the Liberty the week of Halloween. Couple of questions. We have a cabin on the Lido deck. Are there any issues with noise from the pool area or the movie screen? Also does anyone know where the laundry area is on the Lido Deck? Thanks. :)

ref to the 45 day letter: out of ten cruises, of the five cruises I have written Carnival (about their personnel and great service we recieved) they have sent five 45 day letters. We have one that we are going to use on the Liberty Cruise in October. We have always recieved different perks each time, ranging from free photos to chocolate covered strawberrys and Champagne(Duc de Walmart).... I have pasted a copy of one of my letters below:

September 10,2006

Dear Sirs,

We returned yesterday from our 8th cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines. We were on the Ecstasy on the September 4th sailing out of Galveston. We were in Room R71 with Inkay as our room Steward. I must tell you that he proved to be one of the best room stewards we have had!! He was very efficient and quite unobtrusive. He always had a smile on his face and greeted us warmly each and every time we saw him. He immediately took care of any special request we made without delay. We have always received wonderful service, but I must admit his certainly exceeded our expectations.

We were assigned to the late seating in the WindStar dining room at table 115. Our headwaiter was Sylvia and her assistant was Lwin Aung. We enjoyed seeing them each evening as they were extremely pleasant and remembered our preferences for drinks, etc… after the first night. Our meals were always served at correct temperature and they didn’t even blink an eyelid when I chose to order a steak one evening instead of something that was on the menu…We do appreciate that opportunity, also. This is the first time we have cruised since the introduction of the new menus and we LOVED the Bitter and Blanc!!! You definitely have a winner there!!

We have decided that we enjoy the Fantasy class ships rather than the Larger Conquest Class ships. They seem to have more of a personal touch in the service, the staff seems to interact with passengers on a better level, and they seem to be like a big family, instead of just people working together. We are looking forward to our next Carnival Cruise experience and hope to reach the Platinum level one day!!! Keep up the good work and please extend how pleased we were to sail on the Ecstasy to all the employees on the ship.

Sincerely,

hope this helps you get a 45 day letter for your next cruiise!!!

Quick question, does anyone know who Carnival gets their satellite TV through on the Liberty? I'm an avid college basketball fan and there is a game that I would HATE to miss that comes on the evening of debarkation. I'd like to do as much research as possible to be able to make sure they can put it on in the sports bar on board.

Thanks in advance guys.

you wont hear anything in the cabin from the movie screen. The only place you can hear it is at the pool deck.

Even standing in line for pizza or the grill you wont hear it either.

Laundry rooms are available on the following decks

deck 1 Riveria deck across 1359

deck 2 Main deck across 2367

deck 6 Upper deck across 6387

deck 7 empress deck across 7339

deck 8 veranda deck across 9270

Anyone going on the 8 day Eastern Caribbean cruise, might want to look at the following URL to read the Carnival Capers:

Thank you - I found that you will be on the same tour in Antigua. What beach did you pick?

Serene - I see your group is up next. :p Can you please post a review when you get back?

Thank you Serena! Also I'm trying to find out if the airboat tour that's offered for post cruise is the only one offered. I only see this one at Carnival's website. I'm hoping there might be something else available when I get onboard.

if your game is shown nationwide more then likly it will be seen. If a game is only shown locally-- you wont see it.

Liberty tv's are based out of Denver.

It will be on MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network), a regional station that is growing in popularity, but i won't get my hopes up. Oh well. Thanks guys.

Anyone joining us? My boyfriend and I are sailing on my first, his second cruise in December. I'm excited since I've never been on one before and would love to hear if there are any others going on this cruise. Any groups? Any Special Occasions? Just curious!

I'm not sure we will do a beach in Antiqua. My DH gets easily sunburned. What are you doing for shore excursion in St. Thomas? We are booked with Sonny Liston.

of course--- the good the bad and ugly. I can get quite wordy.

Serene,

Also best of luck with I believe you told me (son's) wedding. I hope that I answered most of your concerns regarding my daughter's wedding on the wedding website for CC. I hope yours goes off as well as ours did.

John: my son changed his mind last week and cancelled everything except the cruise portion.

Better now then later eh?

I'd agree with those sentiments 110%. We went through some stressful times before our wedding took place, but I never really doubted that it would finally happen.
