Cabin 124 on Windspirit- Good location? (?across from beauty salon), or should we select another cabin on B deck?

We were in cabin 124 on the Wind Star. No problems at all, in fact it was pretty convenient, right next to the stairway. No problems with noise or fumes or anything.

The Beauty Salon is no longer in that location. The Wind Spirit recently went through a 5-week refit earlier this year and the salon was moved up to deck 4 near the lounge.

We will be on Dec 1, 2007 cruise- very excited- only 3 months away! Will be spending night before/after at Best Western Emerald Bach Hotel. Nothing fancy, but on a nice beach, and close enough to town to go shopping. Any idea for activities while on the cruise?
