SheriNtexas Posted May 30, 2007 #26 Share Posted May 30, 2007 Whatever they pay you, in isn't enough! You should keep a journal of these and someday write a book. It would be a best-seller! Great idea!! To the OP-just be sure when you DO write that book that you let us know! And I think that ALL cruise critic members should get an autographed copy!! :p ;) :D  I just went and looked, and we have over 271,000 members!! Your writing hand is gonna be tired!!! Jeanie821 Posted May 30, 2007 #28 Share Posted May 30, 2007 You know, it's a shame you can't give people tickets for being idiots;) I work in customer service as well. If I gave every idiot I dealt with a ticket, I'd need to replenish the supply daily. I had no idea the world was this full of stupid people! GORDONCHICK Posted May 30, 2007 #29 Share Posted May 30, 2007 I just wish we could stop these people from reproducing! The OP could indeed write many best-sellers! If laughter truly is the best medicine, you should never be sick a day in your life!

cruisinbuddy Posted May 30, 2007 #31 Share Posted May 30, 2007 We have an honorary winner today in the freestyle verbal category: A gentleman just approached me and asked me to turn on the wave-making machine in the swimming pool, so his children could play. I pointed out that we don't have a wave-making machine. He told me that was impossible. He had watched his children playing on the big waves in the pool only three days ago. I tried to explain that the waves were a result of choppy seas; as the ship pitched and rolled, the water in the pool reacted to the movement. He told me that was impossible. He had personally witnessed the machine in action and wanted it turned back on immediately. I replied that if we had a wave making machine, I would happily turn it on for him. But it just doesn't exist. He wouldn't believe me. He became very agitated, raising his voice, and threatening me. It was complicated by my Bar Staff who had heard the whole thing and were laughing so hard they could barely stand up. The fellow informed me that he will report me to our head office and have me fired. Further hs is taking legal action against the cruise line to get a full refund for his now ruined cruise. It doesn't get much better than this.................... Personally I would have escorted him to the officer of his choice. This is hilarios. perkyblue Posted June 7, 2007 #32 Share Posted June 7, 2007 You should have said that if his wife jumps up and down for a few minutes that this could replicate a choppy sea. ;) OMG! OP's post already had me LOL, and this is just too much! :D This is by far the best complaint yet!
