First Timer for both Cruise and AK

My wife and I will be taking our first cruise August 22 with Celebrity on the Infinity.

We are porting in Ketchikan, Juneua and Sitka

Im leaning towards the following excursions:

Kayaking in Ketchikan
A Helicopter Glacier landing in Juneau followed by Whale watching with Captain Larry

And then relaxing in Sitka, just check out the town and take it easy, maybe rent some bikes if they have them, but mostly just kick back either on land or on the boat.

Anyone have any tips I wont see on the generic FAQ pages about travel to Alaska?

You've got the right idea [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] Sitka is so very walkable and the daily shuttle is very inexpensive to get to Raptor Center, around town etc. You can rent bikes right in town-- have you checked out [img]http://www.sitka.org[/img] ? The Bishop's House is very interesting and fee is nominal.

I am afraid I have bad news. We took our very first cruise to Alaska. Unfortunately we had such a wonderful trip we are hooked and cannot stop cruising. LOL This is a wonderful way to begin cruising enjoy.
