Our dd was 10 when she first visited Aruba. Besides a "Discover Scuba" class and dive. One of the more memorable things she/we did was a day on Tranquilo. See this cc thread Tranquilo Sailing Yacht

This year we are considering the Jolly Pirates http://www.jolly-pirates.com/ The Octopus http://www.octopusaruba.com/ also has a fantastic reputation.

Other things to do, depending on your child's specific interests might include: ATV tour, horseback riding, Butterfly Farm, Ostrich Farm or the Donkey Sanctuary. The Ostrich Farm is a business and charges an entry fee and the Donkey Sanctuary is just that, a sanctuary, and survives on donations.

OK... this I can help with...

we've done Tranquillo and Jolly Pirate.. for a 10 yo..,. Jolly Pirate without hesitation... a very nice sail and 2 snorkeling (might be 3) places plus the rope swing which was alot of fun. The meal was good too.

We did Tranquillo the year before and it was "relaxing" == kids found it a bit boring.. snorkeling was just "ok".

YMMV
