how do you pack your drinks you take onboard?

buy soda in bottles (12 to 16 oz) similar in color to what you are taking----dr pepper for whiskey or dark rum,, or 7up or water for vodka or clear rum.

refill with booze, pack 3 to a ziplock. put in a box and pack with your clothes. I also take beer cans, put them in a cardboard box as well.

On a recent cruise we were called to the pursers deck soon after we boarded and were told to go to deck 0, that there was a problem with one of our bags. I saw them rolling our mostly liquid bag out of my view and my husband was escorted to the gangway. He returned 5 min later with the bag with all of its liquid contents in place. It turns out that there was a steak knife in the bag and it was caught on the xray. I guess it was port security and not carnival because all the beer/ liquor and soda was a okay.

That really sucked that that happened on my first platinum cruise,, blew the wind out of my sails and we still dont know how the heck a knife got in the luggage side pocket.

WOW! Some of you are just cheap!,and some have good reasons example: wife can only have certain diet drinks which is fine but to the other people your on vacation and your pinching pennies. i'm no rockafeller but come on people. i just dont see the reward in having to deal with security or whomever else you would have to deal with if your luggage is now soaked in alcohol due to a broken container.

Everyone has their own reasons, what makes some "okay" and other's not?

i'm referring to the people that squeek when they walk, not people that cant get what they need to drink on the ship...again the example i allreaddy gave : the wife that could only have a certain type of diet soda. i look at it this way if you can spend $3000+ dollars to be on a cruise for a week you can come up with the other couple hundred for soda and or alcohol .

We're taking drinks and water and we were just going to pack it at the bottom of our suitcases just so we wouldn't have to worry about a cooler.

But like OP said, is the luggage tossed around because we wouldn't want anything to pop and get all over our stuff.

When the airline weighs you bag and it is over 50 lbs - they will charge a $75 overage charge. Then those sodas on the ship will look like a bargain!

OK Amber, I can't take it anymore.... What's wrong with that picture ?? It looks fine to me.

The answer to the question, the best way to bring on your drinks is a roll a way cooler.... Or a carry on bag .:D
