Can someone who is going or has gone up the Klondike highway do me a favor?

We did 2 weeks ago tomorrow and when we drove through there was no sight :( just the 2 posts to hold the sign. I really need one for my scrapbook lol.

TIA

I have a picture of the sign that we took last May when we were there. I'd be glad to email it to you. Just let me know your email address.

If this doesn't work, I'll be glad to email you a bigger picture.

A friend of mine asked me for the same picture. Thanks for the thumbnail. If she wants a larger one I will let you know.

As a retired Navy officer, I know it is true that the toughest job in the world is that of being a Navy Wife. My hat is off to you and if you don't get the picture you want in the next few days, I'll be happy to make one for you in two weeks while I am there.

So what happened to it to begin with?

It was taken down 2 weeks ago for a repaint and to change the slogan from "Canada's True North" to "Larger Than Life" (in both Canadian and some foreign language :D )

The sign was put back up yesterday. Here's what it looked like 2 hours ago - http://www.explorenorth.com/yukon_sign-2677.jpg :)

Interesting that if it was taken down to paint and refurbish, some of the letters aren't looking too good already. They must have used waterbased paint, ha ha ha.

The old sign definitely looks better. The new one doesn't even say Canada. But it's a nice big sign, I hate it when they have a little 18" sign you can barely see. This one is big and bold.

It must be sun reflections you're seeing. I agree that the old one was better, though - I like both the "Canada" and the mountains on it. Too bad nobody asked us :(
