Radisson on Channel - opinions?

I assume that you mean the Radisson on Canal Street. It isn't a great hotel and it isn't in a good location. The problem is that 5/2 is the second weekend of Jazzfest, and there isn't going to be much available in the way of hotel rooms, especially downtown and in the French Quarter.

I can't tell you that this location is really dangerous, but I would rather see you somewhere else. There are hotels around the airport and in Metairie (a suburb) which I think you would find more comfortable.

thank you so much! we have a gift certificate for a free room at any radisson nationwide but i read a few reviews on epinions.com and they were terrible. afraid if i cancel i won't have any other choices since that is a busy time/weekend but don't want to be miserable/fearful/etc.! thanks for your .02c!
