Tour of Kennebunkport suggestions??

Does anyone have suggestions for tours from Portland, ME to Kennebunkport? Is it best to do the ships tour - or would we get more from a private tour company?

The ships tour info says "approximately 1 hour of free time in Dock Sq. of Kennebunkport". Having never been there - is that enough?

I took a ship tour (Carnival Victory) a few years. It was great. We had about an hour to wander around town.

We took this tour (Carnival Victory) last year. They give you a small tour of Portland before you go to Kennebunkport. You do have about an hour to walk around. It was enough for us to look around the shops and grab a sandwich to eat on the bus.

We also took the ships excursion(Princess) and had a nice ride to Kennebunkport. Before getting there they took us by Sr. Bush's summer residence. I think we had about 1 1/2 hr to see Kennebunkport; fabulous place, just like an old new england town. Had plenty of time to get a snack and visit the shops.
