Are the beds on Freedom of the Seas comfortable?

Are the beds comfortable or do you need an eggcrate?

We cruised the Freedom in Sept 06 and the bed was very comfy. No egg crates needed.

Just off Freedom and I don't know if it was that we were up and running from early morning till late at night, but we've never have I slept this well in any hotel anywhere. Never woke up during the night once! They were really comfortable and soft with sheets around the duvet and huge (I'm used to a queen size and it felt more like a king size with the two twins put together). They do have some sort of egg crate though that was visible just under the fitted sheet. The beds were "fantastic" to quote Richard Spacey our cruise director!

If they are anything like Liberty's...which I am assuming they are...they're great...and big too

as we enjoyed the beds last October on Freedom. The only problem was the heat of the W Carib and the new duvet with quilt inside that is heavy & hot. So just remove it & a sheet will be fine since the AC on high wasn't freezing enough to use it.
