Maiden Voyages

A recent discussion centred around the risks taking QV on her world cruise so early in her service life. We then moved on to the most impressive maiden voyage. Sample candidates were Normandie taking the Blue Riband and Titanic for the most unfortunate reason.

My suggestion has got to be Queen Elizabeth for her combined sea trials and maiden voyage from Tail o’ the Bank on the Clyde to New York in 4 days.

Any better suggestions?
