Looking for something different

This will be my group's second visit to Grand Cayman and our third cruise together. We have basically snorkeled at every port wehave stopped at. On our first trip to Grand Cayman, we did Stingray City with Capt. Bryan's.

Although we do enjoy snorkeling, and we really were impressed with the Stingrays and actually all of Capt. Bryan's excursion (we snorkelled on some reefs after the stingrays) we are trying to find something "different" to do.

Of course, there are things we don't want to do. We'd like to actually be "doing" something, so beach trips where all you do is lay around soaking in the sun isn't appealing to us. Hell sounds uninteresting at best, as does the Turtle Farm and the Butterfly museum.

So... in spite of all that, I am sure there is something in Grand Cayman that will capture our imaginations. Any suggestions?

We too did not care to do Stingray City again nor go to Hell..... teehee

Not sure if Carnival offers this excursion or not....but we did the Royal Caribbean "Aquaboats and Snorkel Adventure"

We had a blast !!!! They are small zodiac type boats that go really fast.

You get to drive them yourself with 1 passenger. We were taken by van from the tender dock to an area not very far..... once in our boats we zipped down the coast (south) and snorkeled there. Then back in the boats and went back to the harbor area.....all the while zipping in and around all the large ships waving at all those on board. There is a wreck in about 30-40 feet in the harbor area....sorry can't remember the name and too late to look it up..... nice wreck and guide had bread and tons and tons of fish...... then back in the boats and up the coast to 7 mile beach area and zipped all around there. The most fun was just zipping around in those little zodiacs !!!

We had a 12 ft zodiac while living in Florida (Vero Beach) and used to love to zip around in it too....but these smaller ones go fast and are really fun.

Definately not laying on the beach soaking up sun !!!!

We're doing the jet boat adventure booked through Island marketing. You get a 4 seater and get to drive it yourself. We will stop at stingray city for about 30 min and then off to Rum Point beach. If you Google Island marketing you can view lots of different excursions they offer.

hope that helped you a little. I know it's a BIG decision! We're still wrestling with what to do in Coz!
