we are sailing on the dawn this month and one of the ports of call is the bahamas. anyone know if the atlantis resort will rent us a room for the day so we`d be entitled to the use of their entire resort facility. seems like a good idea my wife and daughter suggested. apparently atlantis has a great beach and alot of nice ammenities. thanks in advance,

george

I'm not for sure about the Atlantis but i hear it is expensive. We just returned from Nassau and we went to the Wyndam and got a day pass,it was $15 a person,it was a nice place. We got to use their beach, nice pool with a great waterslide, their beach towels and chairs and also they had restrooms there to change in. Also waiters came onto the beach and we purchased a couple of Strawberry Daqaris. I think this was the best day we had there all 4 of us enjoyed it . They also have a casino there if you want to take a break from the beach and food if you are hungry. But you have to pay in cash for the day passes.

If you're still interested in Atlantis it may be worth checking the rate at Comfort Suites through the smartertravel link. Booking at CS gives you full access to Atlantis, I checked a couple of random dates in June and was getting $160-175 plus taxes. I did this in Dec and it worked out great, we got a room for $110 and we had a fantastic day at Atlantis.

florida lady I know there are public beaches but not for sure where at. I just thought it was worth the $15 to not have the hassle of a crowded beach and people hasseling me to buy things, because this didnt happen at the Wyndum. :o

I am confused-if you want to go to the beach-do you need to pay anything-cabbage beach??????

Is it only for atlantis guests?

Cant you go to the casino or resturant without paying-a friend told me that.

Thanks.

The Public part of Cabbage Beach is located 2 doors down from Atlantis and is free to anyone. You can rent a chaise or umbrella from a local vendor, but there are no other amenities.

The casinos and restuarants that are not on the pool property are open to the public. Those on the aquapark property and near the beach are for Atlantis guest only.

If you need amenities, like a restroom, bar or grill, you'll need to pay to use a hotel property.

I did not have to arrange previously. Just took a taxi from the port and told them I wanted to go to the Wyndum.Cab ride was 5.00 a piece. I just found the desk once inside ,it is straight ahead once you come in the doors, and told them I would like to purchase a day pass. You have to pay in cash,no credit cards. It was well worth in my opinion. Dont know the website but I'm sure you can search for the Wyndum,Nassau and find a web page.:)
