Houston Hotels

We're looking for a Houston area hotel, perhaps downtown, the night before we travel to Galveston. Any suggestions? Would prefer for the hotel to have a shuttle from IAH.

Here's where we stayed in April when we cruised out of Galvestan. It is an Amerisuites, had a free hotel shuttle and a very nice free breakfast in the morning. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable, loved that it was a suite-type hotel as there were 4 of us and the employees were very helpful and friendly. It was called: AmeriSuites - Houston Intercontinental Airport/Greenspoint, Houston and you can get to it by going to www.amerisuites.com

I adore The Lancaster in downtown Houston. It is a small luxury boutique hotel across the street from The Alley Theatre in the Arts District. Service is wonderful and we always stay there the night before we cruise out of Galveston.

 

Don't know about the shuttle.......you can call and ask.

We love the Hilton Americas! A 5 star hotel in my book and right next to Toyota Center and Minute Maid park. A great indoor infinity pool. We have also stayed at the Inn at the Ballpark and the Hyatt. What we usually do is Priceline for about $50 and generally get the Hilton.
