polodad Posted June 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Am I doing something wrong? I've been on a recent RCI cruise. I've joined C&A. I have a "my cruises" page. I just started the check in phase for my next cruise. My question is why doesn't RCI populate the information with data it has already received either through registration or check in for a previous cruise? If I take 25 cruises with RCI will I have to tell them 25 times that I'm a US citizen and input my birthdate 25 times? It would seem like this information should carryforward and not be necessary for repeated checkins. Thoughts?
Queen of Hearts Posted June 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2007 you should be able to input that information in your preferences on your mycruises acct. When i did mine, it asked my bed preferences and dining preferences. check your profile, you may not have that information stored.
polodad Posted June 19, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Checked profile. My data was there, including birthdate and country of origin. Yet when I went to the checkin data for the next cruise that information had NOT been applied to the questions. Maybe I'm starting to understand why I can't activate my C&A membership due to computer problems. They gotta get their IT folks off the ships & back to work at their desks. Kanukkacruise Posted June 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I have wondered exactly the same thing! Princess has everything stored and with Royal Caribbean you have to give the information over and over and over again. I'm guessing they are afraid of a security breech within their computer system and don't want to store passport numbers.
