luvnorway Posted June 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I'll qualify this by saying that responses are based on my experience but not "cast in stone". We done a dozen or so British Isles cruises since the mid '90's - most recently on Princess - but not on Grand. Some suggestions to check out the accuracy of what I'm posting are: 1) if there's a Roll Call for this itinerary on Grand for 2007, post your question there asking for a response from people when they return 2) Google "Port of ____" for each port - some have a website that lists ships visiting and indicates if/where they will dock St. Peter Port - always tender Cork - cruise ships dock at Cobh - a ship the size of Grand Princess cannot actually get to Cork Dublin - dock Liverpool (which is in England BTW, not Scotland) - likely dock Belfast - dock Invergordon - likely dock (I'm not sure how large a ship can dock here - the old Royal Princess did) Edinburgh - you didn't indicate whether your port is Leith, where you'll likely dock, or South Queensferry where ships always tender Le Havre - dock
dbh62ark Posted June 20, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Sorry to butt in on a thread--luvnorway, if you would be willing to e-mail me off the boards, I would love to have some advice from you. I have read some of your posts and noted that you have a lot of experience cruising Norway, so I would like to ask for your opinion on some itineraries. My address is dahillark @ yahoo.com (remove the spaces). Thanks, Donna
