JohnRy210 Posted June 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Hello! I am wondering where I can buy day passes for the public transit system in Vancouver. Is it true that they cost $8 CDN? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also, will the day pass work for all the various public transit systems (city bus, Seabus, Skytrain)?? Thank you! LeftcoastBC Posted June 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2007 $8 bucks it is.. get them as below and maybe at Sky train station machines (not sure on that through) and you can go anywhere except on WestCoast Express. FareCards are available at any FareDealer including 7-Eleven, Safeway, and many London Drugs.

Hi John: The day passes are $8 CDN for adults or $6 CDN for seniors & younger children (under 4 are free) Check out this website for further info on the bus system / fares etc... http://www.translink.bc.ca/Transportation_Services/Fares_Passes/fare_pricing.asp Dave

JohnRy210 Posted June 25, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Thanks for the great information, BC residents! I think I'll have to visit Lonsdale Quay via the Seabus and the Metrotown Mall via the Skytrain! Might you know what bus I would take from the Metropolitan Hotel to reach Granville Island? Many thanks in advance!
dam1050 Posted June 25, 2007 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2007 The #50 Bus -- False Creek South (returning from Granville Island it is called Waterfront Station)is the bus route you'd take --- catch it on Granville Street (one of the few remaining buses not re-routed due to construction) Alternately, you can walk to the foot of Thurlow St (Aquatic Centre) and take the http://www.granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/ or to the foot of Howe St and take the http://www.theaquabus.com/visitors.htm for a quick and inexpensive little ferry trip over to Granville Island.
