cab or transfer from ewr to cape liberty

HI,

 

I posted a thread on another site but I think this is the better site.

 

Any idea of cab cost from EWR to the Cape Liberty pier?

 

At the end of the cruise we wanted to get a car rental to take us from the pier to visit relatives. Does anyone know if you can get a car rental at the pier (no luck so far) or would it be better to go back to EWR airport and get it there. That would be pricey I think?

 

Any ideas?

this says $35.00 from EWR to Bayonne docks but I thinks it actually $40.00 plus toll and tip. Pretty sure its the same back. There is no car rental in the terminal but I would try Avis and see if they are in Bayonne and would come to pick you up....otherwise its the airport which is fairly competitive....
