I'm glad you're enjoying the "View from A Broad".

 

You'll notice the seaweed. It's a seasonal thing out here (as are jellyfish), and good for the ecology and a small erosion control measure.

 

It ain't pretty, and it stinks...but when the tide comes in and drops sand over the seaweed, when the tide goes out it builds the beach.
